How Hestia handles your data

The short version: your database and files are stored in Canada, you control who on your team sees tenant details, and you can export your records or cancel at any time.

Where it's stored

Hestia's database and file storage (photos, recordings, quotes and invoices) are hosted in Canada. Files are private and are only shown through links that expire after an hour.

Some services we use to run Hestia process information outside Canada while doing their job:

What we store

Landlords and team members
Name, email, role, organization name. Card details are held by Stripe, not by Hestia.
Tenants
Name, email, phone and unit, plus the maintenance requests they send: description, photos, voice or video notes, messages and ratings.
Tenant profiles (optional)
Only what the landlord chooses to add, such as move-in date, emergency contact or income. Income and date of birth can only be saved after the landlord confirms the tenant agreed.
Contractors
Name, contact details, trade, job updates, photos, quotes and invoices.

We don't sell data and we don't use it for advertising.
